After the launch of Khote Sikkey, YRF is all set to bring in its first
daily fiction show on Sony Entertainment Television with Kismat which
will run for four days a week considering the male audience in mind.
Kismat which is all set to begin from 14 February, tells about the story of Aditya Raj Merchant (Viraf Patel) and Kabir Khan (Rahul Bagga) from the years of 1947 to 2007. The show narrates the journey of these two individuals who are born on the same day but one as a Prince and the other as a pauper. Progressively, the viewers are taken into the voyage of two individuals where their paths are destined to meet at a common point but with a rage of anger and revenge.
Speaking about the show Mr Ajit Thakur, EVP and Business Head of Sony Entertainment television, briefs "Kismat, the second show from YRF after Khotey Sikkey this year, is a powerful emotional saga set on a grand scale; two powerful characters with their own points of view juxtaposed against each other will bring out all the elements of drama and compelling storytelling, just the qualities YRF is known for".
Adding on the uniqueness of the show he says "This is one show where the protagonists are males and not females and the time of 10:30 pm has been kept keeping the male audience also in mind."
Even though the story line familiarizes the audience with Jeffery Archer's number one Best Seller Kane and Abel, the makers deny the comparison.
The promos indeed look promising like any other YRF shows which are always meaty in their content... Let's now watch to see how the show fares...
