Talking about an anchors role in a show, Gunjan tells, "An anchor is the backbone of the show. A good anchor can take the show to a whole new level. Anybody can host a show, but only the best can handle the crisis. Life is unpredictable and anything can go wrong during a show. You need to be intelligent, sharp, witty, spontaneous and composed to handle a situation like this. As a host, you have to be in control of things and have to think 10 steps ahead of everyone around you on the set. Easier said than done! That's why you cannot train anyone to be an anchor. Spontaneity, good command over the language, being well read and having a well groomed personality is a must."
So how much will you rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 when it comes to your anchoring skills? Gunjan says, "A wise man once said 'never blow your own trumpet'; let your work do the talking. So it would be unfair to rate my own self.
All I know Is that I am blessed to have done some phenomenal work in last one decade. Various TV shows and more than 1000 live shows are a testimony of the same. And I wish to continue doing that."
