Colors were all guns blazing and expected Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali to be yet another winner for the channel. The channel has had a great run with historical and mythological shows over the years and the same seemed to be the perfect bet for this one too.

Apart from it being a historical saga, the show also starred heartthrob Shaheer Sheikh in the leading role who was also coming in post the super successful Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi; and Sonarika Bhadoria played the leading lady as she too was in top form post Prithvi Vallabh.

However, the show, in spite of everything looking extremely positive for itself never managed to take off in the rating charts and apart from a couple of heartening weeks did not clock good numbers. There were rumors about how the show will be going off-air soon, and the same was only confirmed recently too.

We totally understand how the fans must be really saddened by the show going off-air, but there is a silver lining for the fans to look at.

There is news about how producer Aniruddh Pathak, even though disheartened with the show being pulled off-air is planning to revive it for other platforms.

Yes! That's right. Aniruddh recently mentioned how he is planning to revive the show with the same cast and crew for other OTT platforms and is already working towards it.

So, there are good chances the show will be arriving on one of the streaming services soon.

It deserves to end. The makers did no research about Mughal Era at all. The lead charecters and supporting charecters got distorted to the level that makes me wonder whether I am watching ahistorical based fiction.

@ArnavMalhotra: Mam, the shows you love which you frequently mention here are actually stupid. DEMSA may be bad but not worse than the shows you proudly mention here. By the way, this show was earlier supposed to be of Salim and Mehrunissa but due to channel most probably they changed Mehrunissa to Anarkali because people can never accept a grey-black FL like Mehrunissa.

@Barunsfan123: And the show you have in your dp only degradation if women. If this show was bad then your show was no less that also in 21st century.

Good it is ending. These days writers are really distorting the history. This is a distorted version which is showing lies about the epic and Salim.

Looks like people have issues with Writers Galaxy. 1st Prithvi Vallabh ended due to channel dirty politics, then Chandrashekhar Azad ended due to low TRPs and now this. By the way, 3-4 shows ran for a year on below 0.8 TRPs. Currently 2-3 shows have below 1 TRP. But this show is ended even when it's average TRP was 1.2 throughout the show. The replacement show is another regressive shit.

Very good that this stupid show is going off air. It's a cheap copy paste of super-duper blockbuster hit Jodha Akbar of Zee TV. In fact I think flop channel Colors should shut down eww such a pathetic low standard useless channel.
