Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: A much-awaited Abhira-Armaan family reunion falls apart as Maira is taken away

Tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode opens with Armaan urging Abhira to rest, assuring her that he will deal with Meher and make her pay for everything. Abhira questions him, asking if he truly trusts her now. Armaan admits that he does, but still asks her to stay quiet and not strain herself. Abhira points out that after so long he has finally chosen to believe her, yet he is not ready to hear her out. As their conversation continues, Abhira’s condition begins to deteriorate. Armaan tries to calm her down, but Abhira insists on proving the truth. Armaan stops her, saying he no longer needs proof and believes her completely.

Meanwhile, Maira grows anxious and starts asking Krish and Aryan about Armaan’s whereabouts. At the same time, Madhav plays a song linked to Abhira, which makes Maira uneasy. Disturbed by the emotions the song brings back, she asks him to switch it off. The memories of Abhira start flashing in her mind, making her restless. Kajal also steps in and asks Madhav to stop the music, seeing Maira’s discomfort. However, Madhav believes that Maira needs to recall Abhira to truly understand her love. Unable to handle it, Maira walks away and heads to Kaveri’s room, where she finds Abhira’s phone.

Maira notices the wallpaper featuring Mukti and becomes confused. She wonders why Abhira’s phone has such pictures. Back at the hospital, Abhira tries once again to speak to Armaan. He asks her to relax, but she expresses how much it means to her that he finally trusts her. She then reveals the shocking truth — Meher was the one who set the fire at the dance venue with the intention of killing Vani. Abhira explains that she had asked Armaan to save Maira while she went to rescue Vani, as no one was willing to believe her at that time. She further exposes Meher, stating that she was also responsible for the brutal murder of Rajat and Vani’s mother. Armaan is left stunned after hearing everything.

At the same time, Maira decides to check Abhira’s phone for answers. She attempts to unlock it using her own birthdate and is surprised when it works, realizing that Abhira has not changed the password even after so many years. As she scrolls through the phone, she is shocked to see that Abhira has more pictures of her than even Vani. While going through the files, Maira comes across a video in which Meher confesses her crimes.

Elsewhere, Meher is lost in thoughts about Abhira and feels uneasy. She worries that if Abhira is still alive, it could create trouble for her. Deciding to act, Meher plans to call and threaten her. However, before she can do anything, Maira calls her and reveals that she knows the truth. She warns Meher to stay away from Armaan. Meher tries to manipulate Maira, but Maira stands firm and refuses to fall for her words. Taking a bold step, Maira calls off Armaan and Meher’s wedding, leaving Vidya and Kajal confused about her sudden decision.

Mittal notices Meher’s restlessness and questions her about it. Meher hides the truth and says she is just nervous about the wedding. Mittal says he understands, but Meher knows she cannot reveal the reality to him, as he would not let her handle the situation on her own.

At the hospital, the doctor asks Armaan to fill in the husband’s name on Abhira’s form. Kaveri steps in and says that as Abhira’s mother, she will complete the formalities. Meanwhile, Armaan writes down Abhira’s statement and decides to take legal action by sending the police to Meher’s house. He hands over the written confession to Kaveri and asks her to proceed. Kaveri informs him that an FIR has already been filed.

Soon after, Vidya calls Armaan, but he informs her that the wedding with Meher is cancelled. Madhav, Aryan, and Tanya feel relieved and happy hearing this. Armaan instructs the Poddar family to ensure Maira’s safety until he returns home. Vidya, however, suspects that Abhira might have influenced both Armaan and Maira. Madhav defends Abhira, saying she has done the right thing, and celebrates the turn of events with Aryan and Tanya.

Abhira, on the other hand, becomes increasingly restless as she worries about Maira. Armaan and Kaveri try to make her rest, but she refuses, fearing that Meher could harm her daughter. She insists on going to protect Maira. At the same time, Maira decides to reach Mukti, believing she needs to protect her from Meher as well. Abhira continues to feel anxious and desperate for her daughter’s safety.

In the precap, a confrontation takes place between Meher and Maira when the latter tries to shield Mukti. During the heated struggle, Meher falls from the stairs. Armaan, Kaveri, and Abhira reach the hostel, only to find Meher dead. Maira is then sent to a juvenile centre, accused of killing Meher, while she silently looks at Abhira.
