'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' sequel happening? Ranbir Kapoor drops a major hint

It is almost impossible to think about Ranbir Kapoor's career without thinking about the many romcoms he has been a part of. One of the major reasons for that is the almost consistent success rate he has achieved with his romantic comedies or slice-of-life films as opposed to others. Right from Bachna Ae Haseeno to Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani to his most recent film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar - it continues to be blistering.

And as we talk about Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, the film is all set to complete a decade by the end of this month. And as that happens, what would one think about having a sequel for the same?

Considering the film enjoys such a massive fan following that has only grown over the years, this is already one of the most alluring aspects to happen.

And it seems Kapoor is also keen on it. In his latest interactions with the fans, Kapoor revealed that Ayan Mukerji had come up with a very good story, taking forward the lives the four principal characters by 10 years and see what is up with them.

However, amid all that, Mukerji got busy with Brahmastra and the sequel just remained an idea.

Interestingly, Kapoor also opened up on how Mukerji mentioned that Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani 2 would have been such an easier film than the Brahmastra franchise.

Well, considering there is a story seemingly ready, we wonder if it will happen indeed.

As of now, Kapoor will next be seen in Animal, which is directed by Kabir Singh director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
