#WrapUpJuly: A month flooded with BUZZ and CONTROVERSIES!

While June was a dull month, July in comparison was way more happening in terms of buzz and controversies.

Here's what transpired this month.  

ENTRIES

Actors Mohit Sehgal and Heena Parmar entered Star Plus' Love Ka Hai Intezaar, Rupesh Kataria and Dimple Shaw entered Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?, Shrishti Jain entered Meri Durga as the lead, Shraddha Jaiswal and Vaishnavi Dhanraj entered Beyhadh, Manish Khanna entered Aarambh, Rachna Parulekar and Gulki Joshi entered Ek Shringaar -Swabhimaan, Piyush Sachdev entered not one but two shows simultaneously this month - Devanshi and Beyhadh, Cheshtha Bhagat and Armaan Tahil entered Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, Aryan Prajapati entered Colors' Bhaag Bakool Bhaag, Romit Sharma entered Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai again, Veebha Anand entered Aarambh, Karan V Grover joined co-star Ridhima Pandit in The Drama Company, child actors Ayaaz Zubair Rahmani and Siddharth Nigam entered Chandra Nandini and lastly, Maninee Mishra will enter Naamkarann soon.

EXITS

The biggest exit of this month was that of Niti Taylor who will soon make an exit from Ghulaam, Dil Boley Oberoi's vamp, Sushmita Mukherjee's character of Buamaa made an exit from the show, Falak Naaz quit Sasural Simar Ka to join a new show and Parmeet Sethi's character also made a quick exit from Sony TV's Pehredaar Piya Ki.  

COMEBACKS

Yashvant Singh Thakur is all set to make his comeback to television after 6 years with Sony TV's Vighnaharta Ganesh, Karan Oberoi will be returning to TV with a thriller, Nishant Tanwar marked his comeback with his entry in Aarambh and Neelam Mehra made her comeback to television after 6 long years with Kundali Bhagya.

REPLACEMENTS

Actress Deepshikha Nagpal stepped into Alka Kaushal's shoes in Santoshi Maa after the latter was imprisoned.

ON-AIR

This month saw a bevy of shows namely Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? on Star Plus, Pehredaar Piya Ki and The Drama Company on Sony TV, Kundali Bhagya on Zee TV and Mahakaali: Anth Hi Aarambh Hai on Colors go on air.

OFF-AIR

While &TV's Kuldeepak, SAB TV's Icchapyaari Naagin and Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya went off air, rumours about Chandra Nandini, Dil Se Dil Tak, May I Come In Madam? and Prem Ya Paheli Chandrakanta going off air started flying around. Also, Sony TV's Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman is all set to go off air next month and Zee TV's Shethji will be going off air in September.

DATING

Ishqbaaaz's Leenesh Mattoo and Nehalaxmi Iyer and Kumkum Bhagya jodi, Mrunal Thakur and Arijit Taneja are rumoured to be dating each other. Zaan Khan and Kriti Sanon's sister, Nupur Sanon are rumoured to be dating and Waaris' Neel Motwani and Farnaaz Shetty are dating.

ENGAGED

Kunal Verma and Puja Bannerjee  announced their engagement this month.

HITCHED

Qubool Hai's Anushkaa Singh tied the knot with her fiance Vaibhav. Not hitched, but Aashka and Brent's wedding date has been locked and it is December 3.

HEY BABIES!

Amma actress Preet Kaur Thakur and husband Ajay Singh welcomed their first child, a baby boy this month, C.I.D actress Jaanvi Chheda is also expecting her first child, Malini Kapoor and husband Ajay Sharma are expecting their first child and Chahat Khanna is expecting her second child.

BREAK UP

Actors Sonal Vengurlekar and Sumit Bharadwaj ended their almost 3-year relationship.

DIVORCE

Mandana Karimi filed a domestic violence case against husband Gautam Gupta and her in-laws, barely after six months of marriage, reports about Avinash Sachdev and Shalmalee Desai also heading for divorce, made it to the news. Also, Pankit Thakkar and wife Prachi separated after 17 years of marriage and Amit Tandon and wife Ruby Tandon ended their 8-year-old marriage.

INJURIES

Digangana Suryavanshi had to undergo a knee replacement surgery, Devoleena Bhattacharjee also underwent a back surgery this month, Mahima Makwana's wig got caught in a standing fan leading to the actress bumping her head on a nearby wall,  

TOO MUCH OF BUZZ

Ravi Dubey got mugged and robbed in Barcelona, Kanwar Dhillon and Abhinav Kapoor got into a fight on the sets of their show, Kapil Sharma fell ill during the shoot of his episode with SRK and Anushka and had to cancel it but was later reported to be shooting for his film Firangi, which got him a lot of flak. Actress Alka Kaushal was imprisoned due to cheques issued by her bouncing, Meri Durga's young protagonist Ananya Agarwal and antagonist Arishfa Khan were involved in an on-set rivalry, actress Tina Dutta got into a fight with her Indonesian manager and apparently threw around furniture in Indonesia. Barun Sobti and co-actor Ritu Shivpuri, and Kiku Sharda and Bharti Singh shared cold vibes on the sets of their respective shows - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? And The Kapil Sharma Show made it to the news. Kumkum Bhagya fans lodged a complaint against the show to pull it off air, Colors Dev Anand was served a legal notice by Dev Anand's family and hence, the name had to be changed to Dev.
