Working with Rajan Shahi was in his bucket list: Akanksha Khanna on Gaurav Khanna being a part of ‘Anupamaa’

Star Plus show ‘Anupamaa’ has been ruling the TRP charts since the time it began airing. The show has got immense love from the viewers. Recently, the show witnessed a new entrant which will mark the commencement of new chapter in Anupamaa’s life. Actor Gaurav Khanna entered the show as Anuj Kapadia. Anuj loved Anupamaa during his college days but couldn’t muster the courage of expressing the same to her. He didn’t move on romantically in his life and has been single.

Audience is loving the newness that Gaurav has brought on table as Anuj. India Forums got in touch with Akanksha Khanna who spoke about Gaurav being a part of the show. The ‘Swaragini’ actress quipped, “Well, Gaurav has a wish list of creators that he wishes to work with and Rajan Shahi was one among them. He always wanted to work with him. Even in parties, if Gaurav used to spot Rajan sir, he would go up him and express the wish of working with him. Rajan Sir has also been very polite and stated that he will surely work with him”.

She added, “We always wanted it and we were on a different pedestal when Gaurav was offered such a nice character in the show. I was ecstatic”.

We asked her if she and Gaurav contemplated taking up the show, Akanksha answered, “There wasn’t any such discussion or contemplation as we were already aware that ‘Anupamaa’ is the number one show and getting such a meaty role is amazing, plus all the actors in the show are phenomenal. To top it all, it was Gaurav’s wish to work with the production house. I told him that sone pe suhaga hai, just do it”.
