Rubina Dilaik has consistently been one of television's most outspoken and self aware celebrities. Whether it is discussing relationships, mental health, motherhood, or the pressures that come with fame, the actress has never hesitated to address subjects that are often considered sensitive. Since embracing motherhood and welcoming her twin daughters, Edhaa and Jeeva, Rubina has frequently used her platform to speak about the realities of a woman's journey after childbirth. Through interviews and her podcast, she has continued to encourage honest conversations around topics that are often misunderstood.
In a recent conversation with Film Window, Rubina opened up about another subject that has followed her for years. The actress addressed speculation surrounding her appearance and responded to claims that she had undergone cosmetic procedures. Explaining the various transformations a woman's body experiences during pregnancy and motherhood, Rubina maintained that many of the changes people noticed in her appearance were natural.
"Jab aap maa banti hain, it's not just the physical change, it's the physiological change and the mental change that happens," Rubina said. She went on to explain that when she conceived her daughters, her body naturally underwent hormonal changes. "When I conceived my daughters, naturally agar aap dekhein jitni bhi betiyan hoti hain, there is a natural glow. Why? Because the estrogen level rises."
According to the actress, increased estrogen levels bring visible changes to a woman's appearance. Elaborating on the same, she said, "What does estrogen level do to a woman's body? Nice pink cheeks, plump lips, glossy hair. So that was a natural way of body transformation."

Rubina then recalled how old photographs from her college days resurfaced online during her stint in Bigg Boss. She revealed that the pictures became a subject of intense trolling, with many social media users comparing them to her recent photographs.
"Now my pictures from my college days were picked up, which were a bit morphed. During Bigg Boss there were so many trolls that were happening. They deformed a few features here and there and they put it in juxtaposition to my current face," she said.
The actress pointed out that the comparisons ignored the fact that she looked very different during her college years. "Us time main chubby thi. Of course braces lage hue the," she shared.
According to Rubina, people began creating narratives around the photographs and started attributing her changed appearance to cosmetic procedures. "Woh wali picture ke saath unhone nayi picture daali and they started making it like yahan filler kiya hai, yahan Botox kiya hai, yahan surgery ki hai, yeh kiya hai."
Refuting those claims, Rubina stated that her transformation had nothing to do with surgery. Instead, she attributed it to natural changes and years of conscious effort. "All I did was I lost the baby fat from those pictures. I worked on my features."

She further explained that she adopted several techniques over the years that helped refine her facial structure and expressions. "I worked on my features with special facial expressions. I improved my breathing techniques jinse meri jawline sharp hui hai. Maine apne bolne ke tareeke ko change kiya hai jisse mere proper facial expressions mein definitions aati hain."
The actress revealed that these practices are often referred to as facial yoga and have become an important part of her routine. "These are actual jo hum kehte hain na facial yogas, face yoga. So I have done them over a period of years to make my face look a certain way."

Rubina made it clear that she has no issue with cosmetic enhancements and would have openly spoken about them had she undergone any procedure. "It's nothing about surgery. If it had to be a surgery, I would have openly accepted it."
Concluding her remarks, the actress reiterated that her appearance today is the result of deliberate effort and techniques she has consistently followed over the years. "I am what I am because I have consciously changed the way I look, basis the techniques that I follow. And I continue to practise them."
