It is rightly said that "A woman is a full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform.’ We are all aware of how women in every part of our society deal with inequality, leading to an unbalanced gender ecosystem. To celebrate womanhood and to spread awareness about gender equality, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year, and this year the theme is #BreakTheBias. &TV’s leading women protagonist, Mouli Ganguly (Mahasati Anusuya, Baal Shiv ), share their views on gender biases and the importance of celebration womanhood.

Mouli Ganguly, essaying Mahasati Anusuya’s role in &TV’s Baal Shiv, shares, "Women are synonymous with power, strength, and beauty but society treats us as inferior to men. Although my family has always treated me with equal love and respect, I am aware of how women are treated in other sections of our society. It breaks my heart to see the inequality that a woman faces right from childhood, which gradually spreads across her professional and personal spheres."

She added, "I am glad that this issue is being internationally acknowledged and is now a part of global discourse under this year’s International Women’s Day theme. On International Women’s Day, I want to say that having a voice and speaking up for yourself is extremely important. It is not selfish but standing up for what you truly believe in and holding your ground to it. Be aware and express who you are and what you want out of life.”
