Why did Kalki Hide her Pregnancy? The actress reveals!

Embracing motherhood definitely makes a woman proud and there’s nothing that makes her happy than conceiving a new life in this world. Although at times one also needs to be extra precautious of revealing the good news to the world. Perhaps, Kalki was just being cautious about her pregnancy.

Kalki and her partner Guy Hershberg announced their pregnancy in September. The actress is just two months away from her delivery date and she is trying her best to cope up with the new challenges. 

Now, she has finally revealed why she kept it a secret.  

When asked about why they held back the good news for so long, Kalki cited Nazar as the main reason.

In an interaction with Hindustan Times, Kalki revealed that the first trimester was full of uncertainties and risks. She said that she did not want to expose herself or her baby to Buri Nazar. She was also advised by her doctor to make a late announcement keeping with the fact that 20 per cent of miscarriages happen during the first trimester.

She further revealed about the difficulties she faced during her first trimester. And first was - not feeling any maternal instincts was the first. 

She further mentioned that it felt an alien invasion and it was like a vampire sucking out everything from her body. But after their first USG, when she heard the heartbeat of her baby, things fell in place. The initial alien feelings were replaced with warm maternal love.

The 35-year-old actress made to the headlines as the netizens questioned her for conceiving a child out of wedlock. And perhaps not revealing the good news was a clever move.
