Who will replace late actor Vinod Khanna in Dabangg 3? A close source reveals

After the huge success of Bharat, Salman Khan is currently busy with Dabangg 3. After completing the film’s first schedule in Bhopal, the next schedule is due to begin in Mumbai. The casting for Salman’s father in the film’s third part has not been done yet.

However, if recent reports are to be believed,  Dharmendra will replace the late actor Vinod Khanna in the Dabangg franchise. A source close to the film said "Vinod Khanna played the patriarch in the first two films. After his death, the names of senior actors are being considered. The hunt is on to find a new actor to play Salman Khan’s father. Apparently, after Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra would be the perfect fit for the role. However, it remains to be seen whether the veteran actor, whom Salman idolizes, would want to take on the role."

There are also rumours that Dimple Kapadia, who played Salman’s mother, could be seen in the film. But refuting these rumours the source said "How could Dimple return in Dabangg 3 when her character died in the first Dabangg film. These rumours make no sense. Makers don’t plan to resurrect Naina Devi (Dimple Kapadia’s character) from the dead".

Meanwhile, Dabangg 3 will feature Sonakshi Sinha and Arbaaz Khan in major roles too. The film is being helmed by Prabhu Deva.
