Star Plus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ is getting quite interesting with each passing episode. The current track of the show revolves around Pakhi trying her best to convince Samrat that she has moved on. Meanwhile problems between Sai and Virat are getting aggravated. Sai has decided to shift her base to Gadchiroli. She will soon face a horrifying accident which will end up being life threatening.
The show is a remake of a popular Bengali daily soap titled ‘Kusum Dola’. India Forums got in touch with the Creative Director of the show Mr. Siddhartha Vankar and asked him whether he feels restricted being creatively involved for a show which is a remake of a popular show, Siddhartha said, “Well, I don’t think that doing a remake limit or binds me. A story is a story. We are not copy-pasting from anywhere, we are adapting the show. Since there are a lot of cultural contexts that changes, it doesn’t bind us in anyway to tell the story. We have our own set of things that we do on the show which are quite satisfying creatively”.
He added, “In a larger scheme of things, it really helps us to do a remake, as you know the larger track of the story. It helps you to understand the characters better. It also helps you to make your actors understand their characters and make them act (react) in a certain way that helps to shape the characters better. We also have the ability to remove or reduce things that didn’t work in the story. In short, we have the hindsight which is quite helpful”.
‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ is produced by Cockcrow and Shaika Films. The show has a stellar star cast including actors like Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma, Yogendra Vikram Singh, Kishori Shahane among others.

Agree. It is a cut-paste job, and not copy paste. Cutting our brain cells a lil by lil each days. Thanks, Sid.

Hindsight should be helpful but if anything, the makers have reduced this show to a pile of crap. People watch shows as an escapement but what is being served here is a promotion of emotional torture and abuse in the name of culture and traditions that chavans are wedded to. Only people liking this show are TRP generating persons belonging to the century gone by. Try reading the online room and you'll notice how bad your engagement is with youth/ progressive audiences.
