Why there is no female music composer/director & very few female singers in Bollywood ?..a very big scope in Television industry..PH can create and promote their own original tracks for serials...LIFE OK channel is doing great with lovely songs and background music...SHUBHAJI..love your powerful energetic voice..whatever the medium..wish to hear you very soon

Everything she said was true.
But then again bollywood songs also promote India overseas & indian cinema for their musical numbers.

Its true there are hardly any decent songs these days, there use to be a time where there was good music one after the other but now I struggle to find a decent latest song let alone album.

Shubhaji is absolutely right. In my opinion item numbers are here today and gone tomorrow, where as well written songs will be remembered for a long time. Who will remember Munni badam hui, Jalebi Bai, Sheila Ki Jawani and recent one Chikni Chameli in a year two years time. Where as songs from old movies Shree 420, Aawara, even the 70's & 80's songs are still worth listening.

Amazing singer she is I still enjoy her pyar ke geet suna ja re and I agree with her Indian music has lost the classical touch which I miss dearly even the 90s had amazing music but post 2000 it's been pathetic and too much masala

so true, what we hear today is utter crap dished out by gulzar nd javed akhtar then hw can we blame the new lyricists and the musicians are a bunch of thieves (korean , japanese, russian music) cause of internet we are not idiots anymore that we wont know if the music is original or not. and most shameful is that they win awards
