We didn't speak before our first shot; Swati is my favourite co-star: Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar's Ankit Siwach

Star Plus recently launched a new show titled ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’ which is produced by Rajita Sharma’s Katha Kottage Productions. The show stars actors Swati Rajput and Ankit Siwach in lead roles while renowned actress Manasi Joshi Roy plays a pivotal role.

The show focuses on the story of two damaged souls (Diya and Armaan), fighting societal and personal demons, who are destined to create their own imperfect love story. India Forums got in touch with actor Ankit Siwach and asked him about his first interaction with co-actress Swati.

Siwach quipped, “I met her during the mock shoot. We had an intense scene to perform and we didn’t speak to each other as the scene required a sense of awkwardness and we deliberately thought not to interact so that it can show on-screen. Once the scene was done, we discussed about the scene, our approach and how we would like to take it forward. We gradually met for readings and got to know more about each other. She is a wonderful human being apart from being a brilliant performer and a lovely artist. I believe, it’s safe to say that she is one of my favorite co-stars that I’ve worked with so far”.

We asked him about his thoughts on the show being Swati’s first as a main lead, the actor added, “Swati adds a lot of experience from the work that she has done throughout her career. She brings a freshness and newness on the sets. Her energy is very high and we discuss a lot and try to make every scene of ours unique. We are focusing on making Armaan and Diya lovable and unique onscreen. It’s wonderful to work with her. Most of the time that we get we discuss about our performances and the scenes and rest of the time we have a lot of fun too. We click and share a similar wavelength when it comes to performances”.
