Waqar Sheikh to play the antagonist in Sahara One's Bitto..

Waqar Sheikh who is presently seen playing the love interest of Neha Desai in Sahara One's Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki will now be seen essaying a very interesting character in Contiloe Telefilms' upcoming show on Sahara One, Bitto.

Pallavi Gupta as reported earlier will play the protagonist in the show. The show is the tale of Bitto who belongs to the lower class, who makes it big and wages a fight with the upper caste in the village.
 
According to our source, "Talented actor Waqar Sheikh has been finalized to play the role of the Thakur in the village".
 
Confirming the news, Waqar told TellyBuzz, "Yes, I am playing the main antagonist in the new Sahara One show. He is referred to as the Bade Thakur or Sarkar; his screen name is Thakur Suraj Pratap. He rules the village and takes all the decisions regarding the people living there. He then encounters the tough woman Bitto with whom he has a big fight regarding a particular issue".
 
Waqar plays a completely opposite character in Sahara One's Woh Rehne Waali. "Well, this is exactly why I accepted this role in Bitto. In Woh Rehne Waali, I am playing the character of a modern romantic guy who balances it well between his wife and his keep. But in Bitto, the role is completely different. I play a character which will raise many eyebrows; the language, style and the depiction is totally different".
 
As per our source, Ashutosh Rana was earlier approached to the play the pivotal role, but it was finally Waqar who grabbed the meaty role.
 
Bitto will be launched at a prime time slot on Sahara One post IPL.
