India Forums is back with an interesting update from the world of television.

We’ve been on the forefront in reporting updates about various upcoming shows on Indian Television. Earlier in the day, we reported about actor Sheezan Mohammed bagging the lead role in Azaad TV’s new show. Now, we have learned another update about Zee TV’s upcoming show.

As per reports, Akshay Mhatre and Shrenu Parikh have been roped in to play the leads in an upcoming show on &TV which is produced by Zee Studios. The show is tentatively titled ‘Maharaja Agrasen’. India Forums has exclusively learned that actor Vishal Nayak of Qubool Hai and Sasural Simar Ka fame has been roped in to play a meaty role in the project.

According to highly placed sources, the makers are contemplating in changing the title of the show. A source revealed, “The discussion pertaining to the title is still on. But another title, ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’ has also been taken in the consideration”.

For the uninitiated, earlier actor Ruslaan Mumtaz was finalized for the show but he couldn’t take it up due to the dates issue. He said, “I hadn’t been approached directly for this show. However, I can’t take up a TV show at the moment. I am currently shooting for a film, so my dates are not available till August 15. I can’t take up any other project, simultaneously.”

Sources tell us that the most of the actors are flying to Jaipur today and the shoot for the same will begin soon.

We promise to be back with more updates on the show.
