'Vijay Anna is responsible': Julie alleges online harassment by TVK supporters led to miscarriage

Actor and former nurse Julie has made serious allegations against supporters of actor turned politician Vijay and members of Thamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), claiming that sustained online harassment led to the loss of her unborn child.

Julie recently addressed the media and said she had filed a police complaint in Chennai in March against eight individuals over alleged trolling and defamatory content. According to her, she later received communication stating that the matter was being treated as a civil issue rather than a criminal case.

The actor further alleged that additional accusations surfaced against her after she approached authorities. She claimed that she was linked to a purported Rs 15 lakh kidney scam, an allegation she strongly denied.

Speaking about the personal impact of the controversy, Julie said she had recently married and was expecting her first child. She alleged that severe mental stress caused by online abuse contributed to her miscarriage.

According to Julie, the issue goes beyond personal attacks and also involves remarks directed at her husband. She claimed that women who speak about TVK often become targets of online criticism and character assassination.

The actor expressed disappointment over what she described as a lack of action on her complaint. She alleged that the people named in her complaint were supporters of the political party and that this affected the response to her case.

Making a direct allegation against Vijay, Julie said, “Vijay anna is responsible for me losing my child. He might not have done it directly. But if he had said just one word and asked them to back off, I wouldn’t have lost what I lost today.”

She also alleged that those targeting her had created a narrative designed to damage her reputation. Julie claimed that a TVK supporter and an advocate were among those behind the accusations made against her.

During the interaction, Julie further questioned the role of social media in Vijay’s political rise and argued that greater attention should be given to addressing public concerns.

When asked about the timing of her complaint, she clarified that it was filed when the previous government was in power. However, she maintained that the current administration should now ensure that her allegations are properly examined.

At the time of writing, there has been no public response from Vijay or TVK regarding Julie’s claims.
