An intense war of words has transpired between actress Kangana Ranaut and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray.
Furious with Uddhav’s recent speech, Kangana has now shared a video of herself where she can be heard saying:
“Uddhav Thackeray, you abused me in your speech yesterday, called me 'namak haram'.” She also questioned the silence of those campaigning for women empowerment, at a time when she was being “abused and threatened.”
In her video message, Kangana also hit back at Thackeray’s remarks that “ganja fields” are in Himachal Pradesh, “You said such wrong things about Himachal, which is known as the birth-place of maa Parvati and is known as a 'dev bhoommi'. Being a Chief Minister, you have tried to shame an entire state because you are upset with a girl, who is of your son's age.”
She also went on to add, “CM you were upset with me because I compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir but in your speech, you compared India to Pakistan.”
Kangana concluded her video by saying that “You cannot be in power all the time. You are only a government servant and the people of Maharastra do not resonate with you, they are not happy with you. If a person loses one's honour, it cannot be regained.”
https://twitter.com/kanganateam/status/1320619622484209664?s=21On Sunday (October 25, 2020), Uddhav had responded to Kangana Ranaut’s “PoK” remarks and her allegations against the Maharashtra government in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Without taking her name directly, he said, “Someone said Mumbai is like PoK... they come to Mumbai for work and then defame the city. This amounts to namak haram."
Hinting at Kangana’s state of Himachal Pradesh, he was quoted saying, “They don’t know in our house we grow tulsi, not ganja. Ganja fields are in your state, you know where, not in our Maharashtra.”
