Vicky Kaushal's first look from Bhoot released!

Dharma Productions has been ruling the Bollywood industry with genres like romance, drama, and comedy for more than 4 decades now. It seems like Karan Johar is up for some experimentation, with Period dramas like Kalank, which failed at earning big at the box-office, and the much-awaited Takht, and now the upcoming Bhoot starring Vicky Kaushal. 

Vicky, who has worked with Dharma Productions before with Raazi, took to his official social media handle and shared the first poster the movie. He captioned the picture, “Sink into the world of fear! Presenting #Bhoot Part One - The Haunted Ship, directed by @bhanu.singh.91. In cinemas 15th November, 2019. @karanjohar @apoorva1972 @shashankkhaitan @dharmamovies”

The poster features Vicky Kaushal, who appears to be trapped in an old and oxidized ship and his face grabbed by a ghost. The glasses of the ship’s window are bloodied. Apart from the freaky set-up, Kaushal’s expressions, too, are both horrifying and convincing.

Earlier this month, the filmmaker had teased his fans with a spooky announcement regarding his franchise of fear. After that, Dharma Production’s also released a few posts that hinted the title, the plot and the cast of the movie on their official social media handle. 

They also released Vicky’s first look from the movie, it read, “A glimpse into the world of #Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship with @vickykaushal09! In cinemas on 15th November, 2019.? @karanjohar @apoorva1972 @bhanu.singh.91 @shashankkhaitan”

It was speculated earlier that along with Vicky, Bhumi Pednekar will also be a part of this project. According to In.com, a source close to the film’s production revealed, “This will be Vicky's foray in the horror space. It's a brilliant story which is based on a real incident. The entire film is based in the backdrop of a haunted ship in Mumbai. Karan finds it to be extremely innovative and hence has sanctioned it to be a series. This will be the first horror franchise under his banner."

Bhoot is jointly produced by Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan; it will also mark the directorial debut of Bhanu Pratap Singh. The movie is all set to release on 15th November 2019.
