Venus music chief to head Indian film body
Mumbai, Oct 7 (IANS) Ratan Jain, a noted producer and Venus Records and Tapes director, has been unanimously elected as the president of Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producer of India (AMPTPP).

Mumbai, Oct 7 (IANS) Ratan Jain, a noted producer and Venus Records and Tapes director, has been unanimously elected as the president of Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producer of India (AMPTPP).
Prominent celebrities from the film industry supported Jain's election that was held last week here.
'Ratan Jain is a symbol of dedication, devotion and determination. He deserves to be the president of AMPTPP,' said filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt.
Producer Vashu Bhagnani said Jain had always been concerned with the problems plaguing the film industry and the seat of power would work as a much-needed platform for him to resolve all such issues.
'We know Jain will be victorious in resolving all issues concerning the industry,' Bhagnani asserted.
Other celebrities to support his election were Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashutosh Gowariker and producer Sunil Lulla.
