Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal, Richa Chadha-Ali Fazal's Weddings Postponed over Coronavirus Scare?

The Coronavirus outbreak has brought the entire world to a standstill. In India, close to 147 cases have surfaced so far, and the situation is quite intense in the country. The Maharashtra government has instructed the shutdown of schools, colleges, gyms, swimming pools, theatres till March 31 2020. Besides, the entertainment industry too has also faced a massive shutdown as various films, right from Sooryanvanshi to ‘83 have pushed the release of their films. Further, shoots are being cancelled and the paparazzi too has vowed to take a break from their work.

To add to the compelling effect of the pandemic, celebrity weddings too have faced the wrath of the infamous virus. Varun Dhawan and his girlfriend Natasha Dalal, and actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have postponed their respective summer weddings owing to the Coronavirus outburst in the world.

A Mid Day report states that Varun and Natasha were likely to have a destination wedding in Thailand, which later got shifted to Jodhpur and then finally to Mumbai. However, now it looks like the wedding will have to wait with regards to the current pandemic situation.

“The initial plan was to have an intimate wedding on a private island in Thailand, but it was scrapped last month in favour of a destination wedding in Jodhpur. Eventually, they called that off too and were considering having a low-key ceremony in Mumbai. But looking at the current scenario, they have decided to tentatively push the shaadi to November and have reverted to their original choice of destination — Thailand” Mid Day quoted a source as saying

Besides, love birds Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal too will be postponing their April wedding. Reportedly, their wedding was expected to take place in Delhi and was supposed to have many of their overseas friends.

“Many of their guests were to fly in from the US and Europe for the do. Also, the couple was hoping to have their nuptials in Delhi, which is currently on partial lockdown. So, they think it’s best to delay the wedding to later this year” the source added.
