Varun Dhawan Tests Negative for COVID-19, to Resume Jug Jugg Jeeyo Shoot

After Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan has also recovered from Coronavirus. The team is expected to resume the shooting of Jug Jugg Jeeyo from December 19 in Chandigarh.

Varun Dhawan tests Negative for COVID-19

The shooting of Raj Mehta’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo was halted after the leading star cast including  Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and the director himself tested positive for Coronavirus.

In a sign of relief, Varun has finally recovered from the virus and tested negative for COVID-19. Director Raj Mehta has also tested negative, reports Mumbai Mirror.

Last week, Neetu Kapoor also tested negative and is now doing better. The rest of the cast including Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Prajakta Koli was marked safe from the virus. 

And since VD, Neetu and Raj have also overcome the virus, the shooting of Jug Jugg Jeeyo is scheduled to resume from December 19 in Chandigarh.

The daily reported that after the actors had tested positive, the set was sanitised and crew members were also kept in isolation. Now that the actors have recovered, the shooting will resume in full swing. The makers plan to shoot the film till December 30 and be back in town for the New Year’s Eve. 

While Neetu is left with a four-five days shoot, the rest of the crew will continue filming till December 30. The source adds, “During the quarantine period, they have devised a revised schedule and will be taking things easy on the set to ensure that the post-COVID fatigue does not take a toll.”

Speaking of Jug Jug Jeeyo, the Raj Mehta directorial is touted to be a comedy drama and more details are yet to be known.
