Varun Dhawan on the biggest challenge these days being able to parent your parents

Actor Varun Dhawan has managed to carve out quite a career already but it is his off-screen personna that also attracts maximum attention, and fortunately for the right reasons. Dhawan, as we know is the son of legendary director David Dhawan and is always known by one and all to be a doting son and an absolute family man.

As all of us struggle through tough times, he believes that maintaining health and safety at all times is a challenge, especially for people in his profession who not only have to step out of their homes but also be without a mask while facing the camera.

Talking about it and being a dutiful son, he mentioned he has been watching over his mom Laali and father David Dhawan further making a habit to remind them about COVID-19 precautions. He said,  “My parents follow all the norms that one has to in these circumstances, but as a son, I am worried whenever they decide to step out for anything at all. I make it my duty to constantly check on them - if they’ve worn their masks properly, if they’ve carried sanitisers, and so on. 

He added, "The biggest challenge these days is to parent your parents, be hawk-eyed towards them like they were when you were a child. These times are tough on us but they’re tougher on our elders. I want to get on to a platform and tell all elderly parents that they have to listen to their children when they talk about safety measures and follow them."

On the workfront, Dhawan has two big releases in 2022 in the form of Bhediya and Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
