Varun Dhawan ANNOUNCES the Release Date of Coolie No.1

Varun Dhawan had confirmed that Coolie No.1, one of the most entertaining movies of Bollywood, will have a remake soon. The actor is all set to play the main lead in the movie alongside actress Sara Ali Khan. The makers of the movie recently announced the leading lady on Varun’s birthday, 24th April.

"It's official... After 25 years David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani come back together to adapt their timeless comedy, Coolie No 1. The film starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan begin shoot this August", the makers said.

Now, the Kalank actor took to his Instagram handle and shared the good news with his fans. Varun posted a picture of a badge saying NO. 1 licensed porter.

He captioned it as, "Aaj Ka Din, Agle Saal - Aaega Coolie - Hoga Kamaal!! ??#CoolieNo1 starring @varundvn @saraalikhan95 & directed by #DavidDhawan all set to release on 1st May 2020.? ?#VashuBhagnani @jackkybhagnani @deepshikadeshmukh @pooja_ent #1YearForCoolieNo1." 

It has created a storm on the internet and the fans are really excited for the comedy-drama.

In an interview, Varun was asked about the remake and he said, "Why I wanted to do this film is because when I watched it, I was so entertained. I had such a good time watching it. It's a family film. 

It's one of the funniest and most entertaining films I have ever watched. It has an amazing screenplay done by brilliant actors then. We are adopting it, it's not a remake. I just want to try and bring that kind of fun back. 

That's why my father is also ready to do it. He has changed a lot of things. He has challenged himself also. He is the only one, who knows the sur for this kind of film."

The original movie starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor was also directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani.
