Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan passes away; AR Rahman & Lata Mangeshkar mourn his demise

2020 wasn't just a dreadful year when it comes to the entry of coronavirus into our lives that turned out to be a pandemic but also went on to become a sad year too where we lost some of the most beloved public figures. The likes of Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Wajid Ali, Saroj Khan and many others passed away and the curious case of Sushant Singh Rajput's death continues to be a mystery even today.
While, better things are expected of 2021, it hasn't started off on the best of ways as legendary classical musician Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan has passed away. The legend breathed his last and this sad news was made made public by his daughter-in-law, Namrata Gupta Khan. She wrote, With a very heavy heart, I inform you all that my father,-in-law the pillar of our family and a legend of our nation, Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan sahab has left for his heavenly abode."-

A report stated that his last rites will be performed at Santacruz West Crematory by 7:30 P.M. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan had been a guru to many great singers and musicians such as Sonu Nigam, AR Rahman, Asha Bhosle, among others.
