After a successful theatrical run, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film Daaku Maharaaj is gearing up for its OTT release. However, what has grabbed everyone’s attention is Urvashi Rautela’s absence from the film’s digital release poster, leading to a flood of hilarious reactions from netizens.
Netflix recently announced the movie’s streaming date, sharing a promotional poster featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath. However, Urvashi, who played a key role and was actively involved in the film’s promotion, was missing. The announcement post read, “We would just like to say pranaam maharaj. Watch Daaku Maharaaj, out on 21 Feb on Netflix!” But what stood out was not what was included in the poster but rather who was left out.
Fans were quick to notice Urvashi’s exclusion, and the comments section was flooded with witty remarks. One user humorously asked, “Where is the lead actress?” while another wrote, “India’s first woman to be removed from the poster of a 105+ crore film.” Some even poked fun at her self-proclaimed titles, commenting, “First Indian lead actress to not be seen on her own film poster” and “Wait… where is India’s first lady to become first of many firsts?”

The trolling comes after Urvashi extensively promoted the film, frequently boasting about its box office success. She even made headlines for flaunting her ultra-expensive Rolex watch while discussing the movie’s Rs 100 crore earnings. This led to her being dubbed ‘Rolex Queen’ by social media users, a nickname that has now resurfaced following her exclusion from the poster.
Adding to the backlash, Urvashi also faced criticism for making the film’s success all about herself. When questioned about the recent attack on Saif Ali Khan, she managed to steer the conversation towards Daaku Maharaaj, further fueling online mockery.
Despite the controversy, the film has been a massive success, earning Rs 90 crore in India and Rs 125.8 crore worldwide. Directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios, the Telugu-language action-drama features a star-studded cast, including Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Pradeep Rawat, Sachin Khedekar, Shine Tom Chacko, Viswant Duddumpudi, Aadukalam Naren, and Ravi Kishan. Daaku Maharaaj will be available for streaming on Netflix starting February 21.
