Two MAJOR Star Plus shows set to go off-air..!

Star Plus is amongst the channel leader, where it keeps having the 'sometimes-up-sometimes-second' battle with Colors channel.

The presenter of some of the most popular and successful shows like 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya', 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' and 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein', Star Plus recently took some really bold steps.

On one hand, where we talk about channel honchos talking about taking risks and trying their hand at content-driven shows, Star Plus became the rare few to actually do it.

Two major shows, 'Tamanna' and 'Dahleez' that were launched in January-end and mid-March respectively, are now all set to go off-air according to a leading news daily.

Yes. This may not be a real shock to many, as these shows were proposed as finite series, but it seems the plans of going off-air are sooner than anticipated.

While 'Tamanna' enjoyed some following and touched decent numbers initially, 'Dahleez' never really managed to see the light of the day in its run.

'Tamanna' will be completing its four-month run and may go off-air sometime in June, while 'Dahleez' will struggle to complete a three-month run itself.

The shows were always meant to have a niche audience and irrespective of low ratings, both the shows managed to garner a lot of appreciation.

We tried contacting Harshad Arora and Tridha Choudhury, however, they remained unavailable for any comment.

Nevertheless, the fans of the show would surely miss them.

Neither have interested me much, but I like the new Jaana Na Dil Se Door, storyline seems promising.
I do feel like SNS and DABH have run their course

SP usually do that. Good I stopped watching Dehleez for EDKV on Sony nor I would've left heart broken as PBNBD.

shows like Tamanna, Dahleez, Badtameez Dil, Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Manmarziyaan r either closed down or changed tracks to saas-bahu/typical love-hate sagas... what about those stupid long running shows like SNS, YRKKH, DABH, YHM etc which hav no story left and just stretching on showing numerous shaadiyaan of god knows whom... Colors' channel is 1000 times better than SP which nvr ditches any of its shows evn in the worst TRPs... so its proved that saas-bahu lovers viewers are the ultimate winners... sucksss dude!!!

what rubbish.. I don't care about Tamanna but Dahleez is doing extreamly good.. And I don't see its end any sooner..

I have not watched either of the shows, but I am sure they are way better than the long running regressive shows on SP! But seems those type of shows get high TRP. I mean the stupid Saas Bahu cry fests. Some of the long running shows on SP are still very watchable like YHM, which I am not following closely right now, but it's a damn site better than some of their other shows!

SP can never carry on a better show. Nothing comes sensible on TV to watch. No matter what SP decides these are far better than a lot idiot shows SP is telecasting in prime slot.

Kya yaar why can't they close the show that is running for years. It is really feel bad to hear nice shows are ending soon then the ghisapitah shows which only goes in twisted round as jalebi. Don't know how could people watch the saas bahu sagas for years. My mother watches only Dahleez and she likes Tamanna too, since it is different. And what more she had stopped watching any other serials in star plus, zee and colors, and switched to Zindagi TV where she is quiet liking pakistan serials even though she grumbles about few things which she does not like in it. Indian TV should switch to finite serials like korean, english, pakistan.
