Several people in India still seem to be recovering from the apparently shocking loss against Pakistan. For the past 15 days or so, cricket has engulfed the nation and has been the talking point for one and all.
And, the rating charts are no different. This week's top 10 has not one but two cricket matches which saw India march on to the finals of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Apart from that, tough competition is seen between the shows where Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has been knocked out.
Someway, somehow, the retribution of The Kapil Sharma Show has been appreciable. For the third constant week, the show manages to stay on the list and infact, has received consistent viewership with 1.8 points this week, but the competitiveness of other shows leads to the fall of the show at the 10th spot.
Naamkarann has been a game changer for a while now as the show has now been in the top 10 for a few weeks and has further cemented Star Plus' rule at the top spot. This week, though it declines to the 9th spot, the ratings remain consistent at 1.8 points.
Cricket's rule begins! The last match in the group stage of the ICC Champions Trophy turned out to be a knockout for both India and South Africa, thus making it a sort of a quarter-final. No wonder, it fetched more numbers than the match India lost against Sri Lanka at 1.9 points.
A minor rise for Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii this week after a not-so-good past week as the show rises to the 7th spot this week and fetched 1.9 points.
Cricket is here once again! Just like India v/s South Africa was a quarterfinal, India v/s Bangladesh was a legit semi-final and one of the biggest matches. This meant better numbers and more happiness, as India won and marched into the finals, fetching DD National 2.0 points.
It's a booming rise for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as the show rises to the 5th spot this week thereby having the biggest improvement in numbers as it goes from 1.8 points in the past week to 2.3 points. It seems that the re-branding of Sab TV channel with Varun Dhawan has worked wonders for the show.
A fall in both, ratings and position for Kumkum Bhagya as the show declines to the 4th spot and fetches 2.3 points. Yes! Nothing else about the show deserves any mention.
The clash between Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Dadi in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has led to the show having consistency as the show maintains a TRP of 2.4 points and also rises to the 3rd spot this week.
After shockingly being dethroned from the top spot, Naagin 2 has somehow managed to get some salvage as it grabs the same ratings as past week, which is 2.5 points and it also maintains the 2nd spot.
The dream run for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs 2017 continues as not only does the show maintain the top spot, but also witnesses a rise in numbers yielding 2.7 points.
After a cricketing week this time, next week will have another entrant in the form India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy Final as it was the biggest talking point. Apart from that, we can only wait to see if other shows will get all the more affected by the same or not.
