Zee TV is all set to bring its viewers a new fiction offering – Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan, a mature romance based in modern-day Vrindavan. The show will take everyone on the intriguing journey of Mohan who was once a charmer - someone who would have everyone swooning around him. But he has somehow lost that spark along the way. He has turned into an intense, brooding man with sorrow in his eyes. In fact, Mohan carries an invisible wall around him and doesn’t let anyone in. The only person he is attached to is his mother, whom he loves blindly. Essaying the role of this intense character will be none other than popular TV superstar Shabir Ahluwalia. Last seen in Zee TV’s longest-running, top-rated show – Kumkum Bhagya, the actor is excited about this new project, but mentions how the transformation from Abhi to Mohan was not that easy for him.

Shabir Ahluwalia, who loves to take up challenging characters, will be playing quite a different role in Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan. He will be playing a man in his mid-30s, who is desirable, but has lost his way. While we’ve seen Shabir in different avatars over the years, his new avatar and character are quite unique. In fact, not only the transformation, but grasping the intricacies of his character has also been a challenge for Shabir and looks like this is helping him be a better actor.

Spilling his well-kept secret, Shabir revealed, “I have never stepped away from performing a different character. In fact, I am always excited and enthusiastic about it, playing challenging roles has always made me a better actor. I believe experimenting with one’s look and character opens various dimensions for an actor and helps them grow along with their surroundings. My new character - Mohan from Zee TV’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan is totally different from what I played when I was Abhi in Kumkum Bhagya. I must add that transforming from Abhi to Mohan wasn’t easy as well, but I have worked hard on it for a few months now and it will surely help me play the character in a completely different way.

While the audience is kicked to see Shabir in a new avatar, it will be intriguing to see what made a vibrant and charismatic personality like Mohan turn into this lost, cold soul bereft of any joy?

To know more, tune in to Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan, which will premiere on Zee TV on 2nd May 2022.

He is in his 40’s spent more than enough years that too his prime years on a single serial. He should have stepped out of kumkum bhagya earlier to try in different shows. Now why he is trying to look young ? Its too cringe !

Promo was ok-ish , but mostly I think it would be a flop show with below 1.0 trp , as no offence but literally all shows of zee are boring as hell. Only Kumkum Bhagya is somewhat watchable.
