In the midst of doing a stunt for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Tom Cruise thanks the Top Gun: Maverick fans. When Cruise's much anticipated sequel to Top Gun: Maverick surged over $1.45 billion at the global box office this year, it was clear that his unwavering dedication to making intensely entertaining cinematic experiences had paid off. But it's clear that Cruise isn't done just yet because he's now busy filming not one, but two new parts of his popular action-thriller series Mission: Impossible.

While filming a stunt for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Cruise recently filmed a video in which he thanked the fans for helping to make Top Gun: Maverick such a success. In the video, Christopher can be seen securely strapped in a plane seat as Cruise performs a horrifying back-first skydiving over the South African coast.

Naturally, plot information for both films are being withheld for the time being. The most recent Mission: Impossible 7 trailer, however, does include plenty of teases, involving underwater action, a potential love story for Ethan and Ferguson's Ilsa, a significant chase through Rome for Ethan and Atwell's Grace, and Klementieff's evil role. Major stunts will also be included in Dead Reckoning: Part One, such as Cruise performing a tremendous motorcycle jump and a thrilling train chase scene. A couple feats from Dead Reckoning: Part Two have also been teased, one of which needed Cruise to learn how to fly a biplane.

For the unversed, Joseph Kosinski helmed the 2022 American action drama movie Top Gun: Maverick. The movie is a follow-up to the Top Gun movie from 1986. Tom Cruise returned to the lead role of Maverick, a Navy aviator, in the film. The film was released on 27th May 2022 in theatres.
