Times when actors proved they are reel-life Superman for their on-screen kids!

Let’s salute the father’s who rocked our childhood...

Paa

Kids always need someone to look up to. But what does it take to be a good father and be the Superman to your kid? Fighting crime, protecting the children from the evils lurking in dark alley? (Even though there are many examples that have done that but we will try focusing on real-life personalities)

Let us get familiar with the fact that getting food on the table doesn’t make someone a perfect father. We know Father’s are a rock of our family who stands tall with all their might to protect their kids from the world. But, fathers are also known to teach their children how to pick themselves up and dust off the dirt when they fall whether it is cycling or actual life!

From being tough to tender, from being strict to kind today we appreciate the man who played an important role in a child's development from birth to adulthood.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Shah RukhKhan (My Name is Khan, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai)

Shah Rukh Khan hardly got any screen-time with his son in My Name is Khan but the actor nailed each and every aspect of the film as we can't think of anyone else who could have played the character of Rizwan Khan better than Shah Rukh.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is as a cult classic today no matter what some might think of it as a vague, gut-wrenching film but there’s no denying it is one of the most adorable movies of all time. Rahul’s chemistry with Anjali literally made us believe in the term ‘Cool Daddy’ when we considered our fathers strict!

Dil Dhadakne Do

Anil Kapoor (Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Dil Dhadakne Do)

The man probably has superpowers of reverse aging which might make him age younger by every passing day. But, the chivalrous dad of three, Anil Kapoor knows how to raise his children the right way. The actor was first seen on-screen with his daughter Sonam Kapoor in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. However, the film had a different take on LGBTQ relationships which was much needed for the society today. AnilKapoor taught us how important it is to understand your children.

The actor also played the character of Kamal Mehta in Dil Dhadakne Do. Anil Kapoor sketched a stereotypical business Typhon father who earns money for his kids and wants them to do the same! Now, how boring could that be? But, Anil Kapoor nailed the role with all his might.

Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Amrish Puri (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge)

Who could forget Simran and her stern father? The film which still tends to bring out tears in people’s eyes, DDLJ’s Simran and her dad has to appear on this list. The sheer love for her daughter and to protect her from the cruel world Chaudhary Baldev Singh definitely had to adapt some strict measures!

Paa

Abhishek Bachchan (Paa)

R. Balki definitely twisted some roles with Paa. While some of us thought Abhishek Bachchan never had it in him, this is one of the films which shut all the doubts about the actor. The critically acclaimed film went on to receive some commendable accolades and has etched itself in the history of time. Paa is truly an epitome of parenthood.

Dangal

Aamir Khan (Dangal)

Every person has a different personality and everyone has different goals in life. Similarly, every father expects a lot from his child and Mahavir Singh Phogat from Dangal clearly expects his daughters to win a gold medal. This might be way too much, but after all, he is a father and a former wrestler. And he knows how to train his daughters.
