This 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?' actress bags the LEAD role in Star Plus' next

We have been constantly updating you about Star Plus' upcoming mega show, Mariam. The show has already roped in an alluring starcast in the form of actors, Avinash Mishra, Paras Kalnawat and many other names.

However, as known to the readers, the show is actually going to have a story centered around a little girl, and the casting for that was yet to happen.

But now, according to reports, the child actress who has been finalised to play the leading role of Mariam is none other than actress, Deshna Dugad.

The little one made her TV debut with Big Magic's Bal Krishna, but was essentially noticed and loved her for her role in the Barun Sobti-Shivani Tomar starrer, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Originally hailing from Indore, Deshna has also been working in the South indian film industry.

Mariam will be the girl's first big project, where she has even started shooting in Bhopal.

Infact, things have been moving at a brisk pace and the promo is supposed to go on-air by the end of this week, or early next week.
