For the digital savvy millennials, 2017 was fulfilling with back to back launch of interesting web series and short format shows. Apart from the gripping story lines, what made some of these web series stand out was the talented bunch of actors who were part of them. While this year we saw some of the finest Bollywood actors joining the world of original web-series, some fairly young actors made a mark by bringing in a refreshing element of surprise through their performances. These twenty something actors completely owned the digital world with their talent and proved that we don't always need big names to make a show a success.

Aanchal Munjal

Who doesn't know this pretty face? She has always been in the limelight since she was a kid. After having a successful career as a child artist and working on several movies, she is now making a mark in the web series world. This year, Aanchal was seen playing a pivotal role in bindass' series Dil Buffering'. For a young actor like her to carry the entire series on her own shoulders is absolutely commendable.

Rajkumar Rao and Naveen Kasturia

Naveen Kasturia as Darbari Lal and Rajkumar Rao as Subhash Chandra Bose in ALT Balaji's web series titled, Bose have enticed the audience with their unconventional roles in the web series. Rajkumar Rao and Naveen have left no stone unturned in portraying the character in the best way possible.

Prabal Punjabi

Prabal is a volcano of talent. After making his mark as an actor by being a part of movies produced by big production houses, Prabal made inroads in the video streaming world. He was always known to be a strong performer, making him stand out from his peers. He weaves magic through the liveliness he brings on-screen, making viewers root for the young lad. He is now seen playing a pivotal role in bindass's new series Tere Liye Bro.

Ritvik Sahore

Young actor Ritvik Sahore who was seen in Dangal and Ferrari Ki Sawaari, won hearts with his portrayal as Aakash in Biswa Kalyan Rath's Laakhon Mein Ek for Amazon Prime. The story revolves around parents pressurizing kids to study. Ritvik's character was loved and well received by the audience. With this, the actor made his digital debut.

Tanuj Virwani

Tanuj who made his debut with Purani Jeans in 2014, after which he bagged Powerplay, a web series revolving around IPL. With his role in the web series Inside Edge by Excel Entertainment, Tarun won hearts with his role in the series as a cricket player named Vayu Raghavan.

Sarah Jane Dias

Actor and model Sarah Jane Dias who was seen in Zubaan and Angry Indian Goddesses, was paired against Tahir Raj Bhasin. The both made for an unusual pair, but Sarah was brilliant on-screen and was loved by the audience. She was also seen in Inside Edge web series.

Mithila Palkar

The extremely charismatic Mithila Palkar has carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry. We all know about her cup song video that went viral. From being a YouTube sensation, she has went on to become a favourite among the millennials after she acted in various short length quirky videos. Mithila hit a high with her portrayal of Meera Sehgal in bindass' Girl in the City'. She continues to rule the digital world with her lively persona and superlative acting skills.

Jitendra Kumar

Jitendra Kumar In TVF Pitchers season 2 as Jittu, was also a win win character among the audience and was quite entertaining.

Manraj Singh

A homosexual take on Romeo and Juliet by Ekta Kapoor turned into the web series Romil and Jugal. Playing a homosexual friend on-screen, Manraj Singh gave a very endearing performance and had got into the skin of the character, doing complete justice to it.

Amol Paraskar

Today, Amol is a well known face not only in films and theater, but also in the advertising industry. His most recent film, Traffic received much acclaim. Always the one to push the boundaries, Amol continues to work with the hugely successful TVF on several web series, and has also started writing for theatre and films. Quite multi-talented we must say.

Looks like, the trend of web series is here to stay and the actors can't resist themselves from trying their hands in web series.
