Actress Medha Sambutkar, who is popular for playing Bhabhi maa in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was in for a surprise when her birthday was celebrated on the set of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

The actor was working on her birthday when the cast and crew decided to surprise her by cake cutting on Thursday afternoon.

She says, "It was a very nice feeling to celebrate my birthday no the set. I have been associated with Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for 10 years. The unit is like one happy family. Producer Rajan Shahi is a gem of a person".

Rajan Shahi adds, "Medha Jambotkar has been one of the most professional people I have known. She has been a pillar of strength in the Singhania family. I wish her all the very best. She is a great human being and out of the many actors who have been in the long journey of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain I always give her example that she always remains positive through the ups and downs of the show and has always stood by it".
