A few days ago, Walt Disney Studios made an official announcement about Shah Rukh Khan and son Aryan Khan lending their voices for the Hindi remake of the movie The Lion King. While SRK is to voice for the legendary character of Mufasa, son Aryan will be voicing the character of Simba.
Disney India released the first Hindi trailer of The Lion King today and the trailer has already managed to garner a lot of attention online. We hear Shah Rukh giving lessons to young Simba in the new one minute fourteen seconds long trailer.
The trailer opens with Shah Rukh voicing the character of Mufasa saying, “Simba, Main hamesha tumhare saath hoon aur hamesha tumhare saath rahunga (Simba I am always with you and will always be with you).” And his voice in the trailer is quite appealing!
Watch the trailer below:
Only Shah Rukh's voice can be heard in the trailer and the video footage of him in the sound booth delivering a translated monologue to his son. However, we don’t get to hear Aryan’s voice in the trailer.
Also, Shah Rukh took to his twitter account to share the trailer and said, “Delighted to be a part of this global legacy. In Cinemas 19th July. Yaad Rakhna. #TheLionKing disneyfilmindia.”
Apart from SRK as Mufasa and son Aryan as Simba, Ashish Vidyarthi plays Scar, Shreyas Talpade plays Timon, Sanjay Mishra is Pumbaa and Asrani is Zazu will be seen narrating in the Hindi version of the film.
