The Beti Fashion Show: Celebrating Fashion With A Cause!

The unstoppable 'Beti' movement created yet another glitzy occasion to put across the message of its crusade against the perpetrators of crimes against women. The Beti Fashion Show, conceived by Anu Ranjan, Founder of NGO Beti, was held on International Women’s Day, Sunday, 8th March 2020 at J W Marriott Hotel, Juhu, Mumbai. 

Like every year, this year too celebrities came in support of the movement and pledged to No More Fear. The glittering event saw the who's who of the entertainment industry walking the ramp as well as cheering their best as an audience. The show was attended by a motley bunch of TV stars, socialites and film personalities.

 Actresses Anushka Ranjan, Huma Qureshi, Zarine Khan, Krystle Dsouza, Aditi Govitrikar, Pankhuri Awasthy and few other celebs dazzled in the splendid collection by Vikram Phadnis. While the TV Celebrities showcased collection by Designer Noushija Fatiz. 

The Fashion Show was choreographed by Shei Lobo and anchored by Nitin Mirani. The show was attended by Akansha Ranjan, Shashi Ranjan, Vaani Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, Ramesh Taurani, Mahesh Thakur, Rohitashv Gour, Jyothi Tommaar, Kunickaa Sadanand, Karanvir Sharma, Shruti Bapna, Chandan Anand amongst others.

Celebrities who walked the ramp were Alka Yagnik, Shaan and Radhika Mukherjee, Helly Shah, Sreejita De, Aamir Dalvi, Harsh Rajput, Karan Sharma, Karan Veer Mehra, Ashi Singh, Garima Jain, Aasiya Kazi, Vindhya Tiwary & Neel Motwani, Gunjan & Vikas Manaktala, Hunar Hale, Kusharge Dua, Mouli Ganguly & Mazher Sayed, Paras Madan, Anupama Solanki, Sara Afreen Khan, Shubhi Ahuja, Sudhanshu Pandey, Leena Jumani, Mayanka Sharma Patel, Ridhima Tiwari, Dhruvi Jani, Amith Dolawat, Rumi Jaffery, Sonali and Roopkumar Rathod amongst others.

Anu Ranjan, Founder of Beti says, “This International Women’s Day I want all of us to pledge to No More Fear. This fear can be anything, fear of rape, fear of following dreams, fear of speaking for yourself, fear of raising voice against injustice/violence. We, ourselves can empower us and the first step to empowerment is to shed away all our fears, inhibitions and that is what I want everyone to pledge to. I can only thank everyone who has supported Beti over the years and are still supporting us today.”
