Ranveer Singh is currently riding high on the success of his recently released film, Simmba wherein he played a cop for the very first time in Rohit Shetty's directorial.

At the recently held Umang 2019 awards show in Mumbai, the Bajirao of Bollywood made a smashing entry dressed in a tiger print from head to toe.

Before going ahead with the award ceremony, RS met his director from his last outing, Rohit Shetty and along with him, he indulged in a little gig with Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

A video of Ranveer from the event, thanking Rohit is going viral for all adorable reasons. In the video, along with expressing his gratitude, Ranveer shared how his darling wifey, Deepika Padukone reacts to his arrival at home these days.

He says, "Life bana di aapne meri Sir," as he thanked Shetty and revealed that now the situation is such that his wife Deepika Padukone says, 'Aya Police' when he enters home.

Ranveer was seen essaying the role of a cop in Simmba and the film worked wonders at the box office. The film also marked Sara Ali Khan's second outing in Bollywood.

On the work front, Ranveer is currently gearing up for his next release Gully Boy where he will be seen in a completely different avatar from his last outings. In the film, he plays a rapper and is paired alongside Alia Bhatt. The movie has been directed by Zoya Akhtar and is slated to hit the silver screens o February 14, 2019.
