Taimur's Potty Break Becoming National News Amid Coronavirus; Saif Ali Khan Asks People to Look at the Positive Side

The whole world is currently battling the deadly novel Coronavirus and our country too is leaving no stone unturned in giving it a tough fight. In such difficult times, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur Ali Khan, who is already a star in himself, his potty break became a National News!

It so happened, Saif was amid an interview with a leading news channel during the prime time and since the Nawab of Pataudi was giving his interview from home during the lockdown period, his young son was loitering around him. At the beginning of the interview, on request of the host of the show, Saif introduced Taimur but later the young fellow, being a child who cannot sit at one place, went away to play. Later, before winding up the interview, the host again requested Saif if Taimur would wave to the viewers watching to brighten up smiles, the Tanhaji actor mentioned the little munchkin was having his potty time. The video made it way to the social media and got slammed by many netizens.

After the video was slammed by many now, in an interview, Saif has opened up about Taimur’s potty video and has shared the positive story behind it.

Talking to Anupama Chopra from Film Companion, reacting to Taimur’s Primetime News debut and the potty video, the actor mentioned how it was all in good faith.

During the interview, when asked if it doesn’t blow his mind how everyone is obsessing about his son in the middle of a global crisis, Saif explained that he did genuinely go looking for Tim and would normally bring him into an interview but due to the given circumstances, he did so. The actor spoke about how everyone would look up into a bit of cheering up after Tim appeared on TV and added, “People seem to be happy when they see him."

Speaking of the objective of the news show host requesting Saif if Taimur would least wave, the actor mentioned how she thought she was just looking for a happy face. Khan added, “I did genuinely go looking for him and he was in the loo otherwise I would have brought him on, just to you know give a kiss to the audience and say hang in there guys vibe, something that we wouldn’t normally do.”

Sharing his opinion finally after the channel was slammed earlier, the Laal Kaptaan actor said, “It wasn’t something that I found intrusive,” and spoke about how it was all related to the situation. The actor also said that given the circumstances currently in the country, it was all fine to him.

Meanwhile, talking about Taimur further, Saif Ali Khan mentioned how the little munchkin is at a perfect age where he is just happy to see both his parents around at home. The actor mentioned that Tim is very positive and is a source of joy to Kareena and him.
