Taapsee is Dating Badminton Player Mathias Boe; Mother Reveals Marriage Plans

Actress Taapsee Pannu has a strong voice and never minces her words while voicing her opinion on social media. She is lauded for her outspoken behaviour and keeping it straight. However, not much has been known about her personal life. Earlier, there were rumours of the actress dating a badminton player but nothing concrete ever came to light.

But Taapsee has finally confessed having found the love of her life in Mathias Boe, a badminton player from Denmark. Taapsee and Mathias met in 2014 during the inaugural of a Badminton tournament in India. Mathias was part of a team while Taapsee was the brand ambassador of another team.

Mathias is a gold medalist in the 2015 European Games, and he has also won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. 

Making her relationship official, Taapsee had once told a portal: “I don’t want to hide anything from anyone. I’m very proud to accept the presence of someone in my life. But yes, at the same time, I wouldn’t only talk about it for the headlines because then it takes away from my credibility as an actor and what I have achieved in all these years by working hard. That I can’t afford to do.”

She had also added that her parents' approval matters a lot as she shares: “There’s someone in my life and my family knows about it. It’s very important for me that my family - including my sister and my parents - they like the person who I’m with. Else it won’t work for me. I remember joking about it and telling someone, ‘Agar mummy papa nahi maane, toh mujhe nahi lagta kuch ho sakta hai’ (If my parents don’t agree, I don’t think this relationship has a future).”

And now, Taapsee’s mother Mrs Nirmaljeet Pannu has opened up about her daughter’s marriage with Mathias. "There's no pressure on her to get married. I do talk about it sometimes, but even I don't believe in the institution of marriage much. So it's upto her when she wants to do it” she told Pinkvilla.

To which Taapsee reacted: "I have told you, there's been no pressure at all. My parents have just told me that they would like to see me married eventually. But it's never been abhi karna hai nahin toh yeh ho jayega ya woh ho jayega."
