Swedish DJ Axwell is set to visit Mumbai on Wednesday to explore potential collaborations with the Indian entertainment industry.


Swedish DJ Axwell is set to visit Mumbai on Wednesday to explore potential collaborations with the Indian entertainment industry.

Entertainment consulting company Bottomline Media has tied up with London's Virgin EMI Records for artist collaborations and brand partnerships, and they are now bringing in DJ Axwell, read a statement.

"I have performed in India and the crowds, the energy and the emotions here are all brilliant. Bottomline Media is doing exciting work in the entertainment world and I am looking forward to working with them and exploring artistic collaborations in the country," said DJ Axwell.

Axwell will be in India for the launch of Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The brand has used his track "Something new", which will be used in their Indian ad campaign.

"Axwell is the biggest EDM artiste, and we will be identifying new collaborations for him in India. Given his lineage and body of work with his revolutionary success as a member of Swedish House Mafia, we are all set to introduce him to our own industry, that is always looking for fresh sound," Tanaaz Bhatia, Managing Director of Bottomline Media, said.

The artiste is known for collaborating with Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello in 2008 with the founding of their DJ collective; the Swedish House Mafia (SHM).

Churning out hits like "Don't you worry child", "Save the world", "Miami 2 Ibiza" and "Leave the world behind" over the years, SHM garnered a major global fan following.
