Remember the buzz which Sushant Singh Rajput's nude scene created when his upcoming Netflix film Drive was announced. Well, the scene is again being the talk of the town and we are here to tell you why. The movie Drive, is now about to release and the scene is a big question mark for the makers.
Drive starred SSR, Jacqueline Fernandez and is helmed by Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani. The movie made headlines for quiet a while but soon went silent and got delayed.
The movie will finally have a release on the OTT platform. Now the film would have run into trouble as the censor board clearing is required to release it theatrically. A source told a leading tabloid, "Karan Johar could not afford to take the risk of a theatrical release for Drive after the double debacle in 2019 of Kalank and Student Of The Year 2. Karan made every effort to spruce up the film, give it a slick spin, and release it in theatres, but it was too risky. He had decided to shelve it when Netflix came forward to buy and stream Drive as part of their long-term deal with Karan and Dharma Productions."
Well, SSR doesn't have to worry about the scene and it's nudity anymore. Talking about the scene, Sushant has said in the past that it’s not a full monty scene like it’s made out to be. Instead, it’s more like an illusion. It’s somewhat like what you saw in Deadpool. It’s not a completely nude scene like many actors have done in films.
Sushant was quiet comfortable in showing his skin and he even told a leading daily,"If you ask me whether I am comfortable showing my skin on screen, I will say yes. I don’t have inhibitions, but the role needs to require that kind of a scene. It can’t be just for the heck of it."
