Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel starrer ‘Gadar’ to get a sequel after 20 years?

Director Anil Sharma’s 2001 film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel was one of the most commercially successful movies in India at that time, and is still fondly remembered by the audience.

After 20 years since its release, several reports have it that the director is planning a sequel to the cult film. 

A recent media report suggests that the makers of Gadar are already working on a script. It also informs that the original cast, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel will be a part of the sequel along with the director’s son Utkarsh, who essayed the role of Jeeta in the original, will have an important role to play.

Anil Sharma confirmed that talks about the sequel are on but an official announcement will be made at the right time.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker is currently working on another sequel, Apne 2, starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Karan Deol in lead roles.
