Suniel Shetty reveals Kartik Aaryan isn't replacing Akshay Kumar in 'Hera Pheri 3'

With all the fuss going around on one of the most loved films in Bollywood, Hera Pheri 3, there is another update for the fans. Well as reported and known earlier that Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has been roped in for the third sequel of Hera Pheri. Earlier reports said that the actor would take over Akshay Kumar's role in the movie. For the unversed, In both the first and second part of the movie, Akshay played Raju and was immensely praised for that. Well according to latest reports, Kartik Aaryan has been asked to play a different role in the movie.

Talking of which, recently in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Suniel Shetty revealed that although Kartik has taken Akshay's place, he has been approached for a different character. According to Shetty, Akshay Kumar cannot be replaced as the star of the Hera Pheri movie series. He also said that getting Akki back in the movie would be the best outcome because no one could ever replace him. "Kartik and the producers are negotiating about a totally new character. There is no debate, therefore.

Speaking of Akshay not being part of the film, the actor added that a void will always be there. He revealed that he is genuinely not aware about the developments as he is busy with his upcoming show Dharavi Bank.

While the news of Kartik Aaryan being part of the sequel instead of Akshay surfaced, fans had been disappointed with the new development and have also demanded to bring Akshay Kumar back in the film.

Responding to the same, Akshay had earlier said in an event, that he backed out himself. He admitted that he too felt bad that in so many years, part 3 hasn't been made and added that the film was offered to him but he was not satisfied with the script and that’s why he backed out.

Taking you down the memory lane, back in 2000, Hera Pheri released and was an instant hit among fans and movie lovers. Helmed by Priyadarshan and written by Neeraj Vora, the film also starred Tabu, Om Puri and Gulshan Grover. It will be interesting to see what the third sequel has on its platter.
