Many historical shows like Prithviraj Chauhan, Meera, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat have been made in the past. And when a show of that magnitude is made, there are humongous responsibilities on the makers to stay closest possible to the reality of the subject. The best example is Sony TV's latest presentation Peshwa Bajirao. So yesterday, when we saw the first episode of this magnum opus drama, we were right away convinced that the show is here to stay and is surely going to impress one and all with its captivating story, grand sets, and ostentatious costumes and jewelry.

This magnificent show stars Anuja Sathe, who portrays the role of Bajirao's mother. Her get-up is grand like a woman of Maharashtrian royalty, exactly how we see in the classic old paintings in the Indian museums. What brings all this beauty to life is the exuberant jewelry. Let's scroll down and see the authentic jewelry that has been used in the television show Peshwa Bajirao...

Lastly, the Peshwa Pagdi Ornament, which, in that day and age was treated like a feather in the cap. A luxury that was only for the rich and famous. And in Bajirao's case, he had these luxurious jewels in abundance. As he was gifted a mine of diamonds and emeralds, a belief attributed to Mastani entering his family.

OmkaraKiParvati 6 years ago Rajat Tokas and Siddharth Nigam are too good.. Prithviraj Chauhan is one of the evergreen historical shows. Rajat-Mugdha are still remembered today. Keep rocking in Chandra-Nandni with Shweta.. Siddharth Nigam brought life to the character of Ashoka. No one could have potrayed the role better than him. Keep rocking, Siddharth. Anuja Sathe is graceful as Bajirao's mother.. Waiting for the story to unfold..
