Albeit this is not the first time that a gorgeous Indian beauty steps on the red carpet of Cannes, and neither is it a maiden outing for Deepika Padukone; but her latest appearance surely was the most captivating one.

Dressed in a wine purple color Marchesa gown, Deepika represented the global cosmetic giant L'oreal Paris at the opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival past Wednesday.

With her hair left loose, Deepika looked charismatic indeed. Her chiseled face was finished with a purple pout and kohled eyes.

The 'xXx: Return Of The Xander Cage' actress mingled with the likes of Susan Sarandon and Julianne Moore at the event.

She accessorized the sheer Marchesa gown with Jimmy Choo shoes and jewelry from high-end Swiss luxury brand De Grisogono.
