SSR's sister Shweta pens an emotional note as maker's of 'Chhichhore' dedicate National Film Award to him

Shweta Singh Kirti sister of late bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has penned an emotional note on social media after her brother’s film ‘Chhichhore’ received the Best Film award at the 67 th National Film Awards ceremony. 

It was held in Delhi on October 25. 

The event was graced by producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Nitesh Tiwari. The team dedicated the award to the late actor.

Shweta tweeted, reacting to the same that she is a proud sister. 

She shared an old picture of Sushant along with other team members, she wrote, 

“Bhai is sharing this moment of pride with all of us, he is present with us in spirit #NationalFilmAwards Thank You! It makes my chest swell with pride to see the award being dedicated to Bhai. Thanks and congratulations to the whole team of #Chhichhore #SushantOurPride

During the event speaking about Sushant the director said, 

“Sushant was an integral part of the film, and he will continue to be so. We are very proud. I am sure he will be proud too. We are dedicating this award to him.”

While Sajid shared in a statement, 

“A Moment of Pride for all of us at NGE today as we’ve received the prestigious National Award for Chhichhore! Thank you Nitesh Tiwari for this special movie! We’re really grateful for all the love & dedicate this award to Sushant Singh Rajput.

Chhichhore’ featured Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey and Saharsh Kumar Shukla in lead roles.

The film is a 2019 Bollywood action-romance-drama. The movie revolves around the life of seven friends who reunite after many years in times of crisis. 

The film received a lot of appreciation and it also did wonders at the box office.
