SS Rajamouli’s RRR bags Best International Film at Hollywood Critics Association Awards

In 2022, RRR became a smash hit and earned ecstatic accolades from audience members. It quickly spread over the world and received praise from the worldwide film community. The Golden Globe for Best Original Tune went to Naatu Naatu, the chartbuster song from RRR. The nation is now once more proud of the behemoth. RRR took home several awards at the most recent Hollywood Critics Association Awards. It took first place in the awards for Best International Film, Best Action Film, Best Stunts, and Best Song. 

It was awarded the best action movie. The magnum opus also took home the honors for Best Stunts and Best Song (Naatu Naatu). Prior to the Oscars in 2023, where Naatu Naatu has been nominated for Best Original Song, this is a significant accomplishment for it.

Rajamouli dedicated the award to the Indian filmmakers and said, "Aaah! The best International film...again to all my fellow filmmakers in India, it is for all of us to believe we can truly make International films! Thank you HCA for that...it means a lot. Thank you very much...a lot. Jai Hind!"

The Academy Awards, which will be held on March 12, are just a few days away where the film is nominated for Best Original Song.

For those who are unfamiliar, RRR is a historical drama that stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan as the revolutionary Alluri Sita Rama Raju and the tribal leader Komaram Bheem, respectively. 

The fictional story, which takes place in pre-independence India, focuses on their struggle against oppression and explores their bond. Alia Bhatt makes her Tollywood debut in this movie. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Makarand Deshpande, and Olivia Morris are a few of the actors in the ensemble. MM Keeravaani is the composer of the song.
