Directed by Bong Joon-Ho, the film Parasite is a 2019 black comedy thriller. The film swept away the 92nd Academy Awards and the dark class satire won four honours: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film. It also won the Best Picture Oscar, making it the first non-English speaking film to win the Academy’s most prestigious award.

Parasite, a story of a poor yet united family’s topsy turvy way into the lives of a wealthy Seoul household was lauded by the audience and received rave reviews. However, the film seems to not have impressed Bahubali director S. S. Rajamouli.

In a recent interview, when asked about his views on Parasite, Rajamouli revealed that he “slept off” during the first half of the film.

"Parasite didn’t work much for me, I felt the film was a little slow in the beginning. We started watching the film a little bit late around 10 PM, and so halfway through, I dozed off and slept," he said.

Well, his views have come as one of its kind and netizens are finding it difficult to make peace with his revelation. Many on the Internet even trolled him for criticising this valuable piece of art.

A user poked fun at him by writing:  "I think he mistakenly downloaded dilwale instead of parasite”, while another called him “the new casteist on the block.”

Meanwhile, the director is currently spending his time in lockdown along with the rest of the country and has suspended the shooting of his next film RRR. The movie is a fictional tale based on the lives of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. RRR stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson among others.
