Sourabh Raaj Jain Pens Down a Heartfelt Note on his Journey as Krishna in Mahabharat!

With the nationwide lockdown due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the channels have decided to rerun the episodes of your favourite shows to keep the viewers entertained. Actor Sourabh Raaj Jain who played the role of Lord Krishna in Swastik Productions show Mahabharat took to his social media account to pen a heartfelt note on his Journey as Krishna. 

Sourabh mentioned that Mahabharat will always be close to his heart and he talked about how after a lot of waiting, the show finally decided to go on floors which eventually started his journey as Krishna.

 Have a look at his post, “The lockdown and the phase the world is in right now is devastating....however, with no shoots happening, a lot of old shows have been revived and one of them being Mahabbarat, a show which is very close to my heart.  I'll try to share some memories I have from the show here on social media as all of you have been sending me so much love and appreciation!  

The journey started even a year before we went on air, as a lot of us actors were blocked for about a year before, and hence could not take up any other work.  And some of us were paid on a retainer for sitting at home due to the delay. In that year we were given workshops by Rajit Kapoor sir and we trained for our roles.  However, a year later we got the devastating news that the show was not happening and all our efforts and patience seemed like a waste.

 I went through quite a tough time as I was depressed with the outcome....However, life had to move on.  And hence I went on to do Parichay, next Uttaran and Mahadev. It was when Uttaran was getting over that I got a call from Swastik Productions and in a meeting was told that Mahabharat was finally going on floors.  Some of the cast by then had also been changed but a few weeks later we redid our look tests and shooting started....And finally with his blessing my journey as Krishna began. I will soon share the journey ahead with you.”
