Sooraj Pancholi's lawyer alleges that CBI is intentionally delaying the Jiah Khan case

Actor Sooraj Pancholi who is the main defendant in the Jiah Khan death case trial, which has been ordered by a special court to proceed quickly. According to a report from Etimes, Pancholi's attorney Prashant Patil claimed that the trial had been purposefully delayed by CBI.

Addressing the issue his lawyer said that It is quite regrettable that the CBI is purposefully using delay strategies in the Sooraj Pancholi Versus CBI trial. If the accused is found guilty, he will be found guilty of the crime; but, if he is found innocent, he will be declared innocent. The Honourable Special CBI Court's records, however, show that the CBI has just been prolonging the trial. It is sad that Sooraj Pancholi has to endure a trial where deliberate delay tactics are used and the media has no patience to wait for the final result of the proceedings.

Patil also said his client feels helpless but is determined to seek justice. Patil said that no one can interrogate the prosecution about the CBI's repeated requests for adjournments? Delay in justice is justice denied. But they have complete faith in the justice system's fairness.

Pancholi and Patil will continue their effort to complete the proceedings as soon as possible. For the unversed, the case has been in investigation since 2014. The trial began in 2019, but Pancholi has been involved in the case since Khan reportedly died by suicide back in June 2013.
